How It Works
Everything you need to know about competing in a Bigfoot's Hot Wing Challenge event. From scoring to elimination to bonus rounds — here's how the heat goes down.
The Basics
Contestants eat progressively hotter wings across multiple rounds. Each round features a different hot sauce, escalating in heat from mild to extreme. The goal is simple: eat the wing, survive the heat, and keep going. The last person standing wins.
Scoring
Each round, your wing is scored based on how much you eat:
Eat the full wing — earn full points and qualify for the next round!
Eat it down to the bone — earn bonus points on top of the finish.
Take at least one bite but don't finish — partial points, but you're eliminated.
Choose not to eat — 0 points for the round, and you're eliminated..
Elimination
Only contestants who finish their wing advance to the next round. If you attempt but don't finish, you're eliminated. If you choose "Out," you're done for the competition. Only finishers move forward — the field narrows with every round as the heat intensifies.
What to Expect
- Events typically run 8 rounds of escalating heat.
- Each event features a different lineup of hot sauces, with crowd favorites making repeat appearances.
